SEO problems
Why isn’t my Google Business Profile ranking?
Work through profile eligibility, relevance and location before assuming a missing map result means your website SEO has failed.

First decide what “not ranking” means
Search for the business by its correct name, then separately assess a relevant service search. Not appearing for a broad service is different from an unpublished, unverified or restricted profile. Review the profile’s status and any messages in the management interface before changing the website.
A manual search from your office is only one observation. Results can differ for a customer a few streets away.
Check facts before adding more content
Confirm that your business type is eligible and the profile represents the real business. Review the primary category, services, address or service-area setup, phone number and hours. Correct inaccurate information; do not add keywords to the business name unless they are part of the real name.
Google describes local results in terms of relevance, distance and prominence. Adding a distant town to your service area does not relocate your business.

Make the linked website page useful
A visitor should land on the relevant location or service information, see the same contact details and understand how to enquire. A broken website link or vague page can waste the attention the profile already earns.
The guide to local SEO explains how profile and website work support different parts of discovery.
Avoid fixes that create a larger problem
- Do not create duplicate profiles for every service.
- Do not invent offices to appear closer to customers.
- Do not buy reviews or offer rewards for positive ratings.
- Use the official support or appeal process for restrictions rather than repeatedly recreating the profile.
Where managed support fits
Sitewell’s Complete plan includes profile health checks, recommended changes, posts and prepared review replies. These help maintain the profile; they cannot guarantee a map position or remove the effect of distance.
