Local SEO

How to get more local customers from Google

Connect local discovery to a useful page, an easy enquiry and dependable follow-up, then measure which searches bring suitable customers.

Pick the service and customer you want more of

Write down the job, working area and capacity you want to fill. “More local traffic” is too broad to guide useful changes. A restaurant filling weekday tables and a builder seeking extensions need different pages and different next steps.

Choose one journey to improve first so you can see where the obstacles are.

Follow the route from search to contact

Check the Business Profile and the website page a customer is likely to reach. Are hours, location and services consistent? Can someone establish whether you are suitable without opening several tabs? Then test the enquiry or booking route on a phone.

Ask for reviews as part of normal customer care

Invite customers to give honest feedback after a real experience. Do not restrict invitations to people expected to leave a positive rating or offer a reward. Respond thoughtfully without exposing private customer details.

Read how Google reviews relate to SEO before choosing a review target.

Find the break before adding more pages

If the business is visible but enquiries are scarce, check the landing page and contact route. If suitable enquiries are arriving but rarely become customers, review response times, capacity and qualification. Search optimisation cannot solve every sales or operational issue.
